EXPEDITER PRIDE TRUCK BEAUTY SHOW RULES
1. QUALIFICATIONS FOR COMPETITION:
A. N.A.S.T. membership is not required to compete for awards at the Expediter Pride Truck Beauty Show (known hereafter as Expediter Pride) B. N.A.S.T. may disqualify any entrant for not being sufficiently worthy of competition. This is the sole discretion of the N.A.S.T. Competition Supervisor. In the event of any such disqualification any entry fees paid shall be returned.
2. EXPEDITED WORKING TRUCK :
A . As defined for Expediter Pride: A motor truck licensed, insured, and permitted to operate on public roadways and is engaged in "revenue service" on a regular basis. This "revenue service" must be in the area of transportation known as surface expediting and the carrier to which the truck is leased must be a recognized expediting entity known to the producers of the Expediter Pride competition.

The Expediter Pride competition is intended for WORKING EXPEDITING TRUCKS ONLY (no professional show trucks). The truck types eligible for competition include: Cargo Vans, Straight Trucks, Tractors.

B . Must be displayed in competition with all hardware and equipment secured to the truck. No "drop on" spring covers or other loose items that could not be on the vehicle during normal operation. This does not include fifth wheel covers.
C . Must be displayed with all wheels on the ground. No ramps, jack stands, etc.. Must be entered in "DISPLAY" class to park on carpet. ("DISPLAY" permits the use of props on or around the truck, up to 5 (five) feet, and is open to all classes)
D . An area equal to the width of the bumper and extending in front of the bumper no more then 5 (five) feet may be used for a small display. (Sign board, Credits sign, Special trophies, Etc.)
E . Must be able to leave the show lot by "turning the key and driving away". (Wheel chocks may be removed and stored.)
F . All lights must be powered by the trucks electrical system. No auxiliary generators, "Shore power", or other electrical sources are permitted for this use.
G . Straight Trucks and Tractors only will be in competition for BEST-OF-SHOW.
4. PARKING:
A . Each contestants vehicle will be directed to an assigned parking spot by a N.A.S.T. official.
B . The parking spot will be the size of the vehicle plus five (5) feet in all directions around the vehicle.
C . The space between show vehicles may be shared with your neighbors for the parking of support vehicles
6. TOOL AND EQUIPMENT USAGE IN THE COMPETITION AREA:
A . No spray painting. Use caution with aerosol dispensers (tire dressing, glass cleaner, etc.) to insure that no airborne product affects your neighbors.
B . No powered buffers/polishers or water hoses to be used in this area.
7. RULES OF CONDUCT:
A . No profanity.
B . No open alcohol allowed on the show lot during show hours.
C . No operation of air horns (including "train horns") in the competition area without the consent of a N.A.S.T official, the show promoter, or a representative of the promoter.
8. VENDING:
A . Selling of any products in the competition area is prohibited. Vending is to be confined to the vending area.
9. "RAGS DOWN":
A . N.A.S.T. officials will announce "Rags Down" one (1) hour before judging starts. This means no more cleaning or polishing on the show vehicle. This one (1) hour period may be used to store tools, cleaning supplies, etc., pick up and properly dispose of trash in your competition area, freshen up, place last minute props such as "credit and information " signs, remove support vehicle, etc.. Anyone observed cleaning/polishing the vehicle in competition after the announcement has been made and before judging is completed will risk disqualification which will result in being bared from competition.
10. JUDGING:
A . Each class/category will be evaluated by three(3) independent judges. Each judge will have a judging form with the class name and a registration # on it. It is the competitors' responsibility to ask the judge to let him/her verify that the registration # and class name on the form matches the vehicle being judged. If you think you have been missed by a judge or judges please notify a N.A.S.T. official
B . Judges will be instructed to get permission from the person showing the truck before entering the vehicle.
C . Judges will be instructed to not open or close hoods, This is the responsibility of the person showing the vehicle.
D . Judges will evaluate the conduct and professionalism of the person (contestant) presenting the vehicle.
11. SCORING:
A . Points awarded by the judges are final.
B . One (1) bonus point is awarded to each "working truck" for every 25,000 miles the vehicle was operated in the past calendar year.

C . Much effort is put forth to avoid errors in scoring. However errors do, some times, occur. For this reason the scores will not become official until after they have been reviewed by N.A.S.T. officials. The scores will become official at the close of the Expediter Pride competition.
